My son was born at 34 weeks.
My son was born at 34 weeks. I had a csection and was on medication that prevented me from holding or seeing my son for 3 days after he was born. I had a hard time dealing with all of the emotions of not being able to have him with me like other moms after birth. The dr in the nicu came to update me on him and gave me a lovie doll. It was the sweetest thing I cried reading the sweet message that came with it. It gave me great comfort being able to hold the scent of… Read more “My son was born at 34 weeks.”
I will forever be grateful
I will forever be grateful to Threads of Love. I had never heard of them before, but they were there for me and my family in our time of need. My daughter was stillborn on July 9, 2013. We were in a state of shock and grief as we prepared to go to the hospital. In our fog of disbelief, we took out the baby clothes from our hospital bag. I didn’t know what to expect, and was not expecting to spend time with our baby. Thankfully, the hospital had items to dress our baby in after she was born.… Read more “I will forever be grateful”
Just A Quick Thank You!
Honestly, I had forgotten about Threads of Love until my son just handed me this handmade stuffed heart. Instantly, I was transported back to a time we’d long forgotten. That son, 15 years ago, was a preemie at Henry Medical Center. He was born 2 months early and weighed 2 lbs and 13 oz. He was my first child, so needless to say, we were so confused, concerned, and stressed. When Marcus was a day old, a nurse handed me this stuffed heart and told me to wear it. I was confused but I did what she said. Later that… Read more “Just A Quick Thank You!”
Dear Sissy,
Dear Sissy, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for beginning this wonderful mission of love to reach out to concerned and grieving parents. I pray the parents have been blessed as much as I and the ladies involved in this heartwarming project. In the few years I have been a part of this chapter I have found no greater joy than to be able to spend my time sewing for a greater cause. My heart goes out to each and every one of those families. As I have been able to keep local hospitals supplied with the packets… Read more “Dear Sissy,”
Our Angel Mia
Our first child, Mia, was stillborn. Needless to say, it was the most traumatic thing that my wife and I have ever experienced. That day, we felt an unimaginable pain, until we received our Threads of Love package. While the Threads of Love package did not immediately heal our pain, it did remind us that our precious baby girl was in Heaven and helped us move towards a path of healing. That day would not have gone as well as it did without the reminder that we received in our Threads of Love package. For that reason, we buried our… Read more “Our Angel Mia”
Thank You, Threads of Love!
My beautiful baby boy, James Richard Tanory, was born into Heaven on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. We had discovered that his heart was no longer beating during an ultrasound, and we had to make a decision to have the baby that day or wait a few days. We decided to deliver. We wanted to hold our sweet baby in our arms as quickly as possible. But we were stunned. We were in denial, were grieving and were in the pits of despair. It felt like a bad dream, and we felt all alone. But then the nurses came in with… Read more “Thank You, Threads of Love!”
